Jim is deciding what to do tonight and, as he won’t be able to borrow his Dad’s car, is working out how far away everything is. At the school there’s a local band playing, at the cinema, a film he wouldn’t mind catching, and at the theatre a famous comedian is performing. Or he could just go to the shop and buy a DVD and snacks for an evening in. If the school = 7 miles away, cinema = 2 miles and the theatre = 15 miles, how far away is the shop?

The alphabetical value of the first letter minus the alphabetical value of the last letter gives the number of miles.
