Technology/Benefits Administration Solutions

As the UK arm of Watson Wyatt’s Technology Administration Solutions (TAS) practice, the Benefits Administration Solutions team (BAS) have been a market leader in the constantly evolving market of Benefits Administration for more than a decade. Our prestigious client list runs to over 300 organisations – all of which call upon our extensive range of services. As well as paying over 150,000 pensioners a month, we service over 500,000 pension members and have extended our services to include the wider support of benefits administration and flexible benefit plans. To do this, we establish client teams that provide specialist IT, finance and project management advice to our clients.

Drawing on the expertise of our associates, we not only ensure our clients' pension schemes are run successfully and compliantly, we also strive to identify and develop smarter, more efficient processes and systems, exploiting both technology and our experience to the full. We work very closely with Watson Wyatt experts in other practices to ensure that we offer clients integrated solutions of the highest quality.

If you chose to join our graduate development programme in BAS, you will have a chance to see all aspects of our practice, through a series of placements.

Everyone on the scheme is assigned a mentor who will stay with them for the duration of the programme.  He or she will not only be there to assist with day-to-day questions and issues, but will also help you plot your career path and decide how long you should spend in each area and which areas of the business are likely to be the best fit with your interests and development needs.

All joiners will spend time in the Defined Benefits and Defined Contribution administration teams to learn about the core of the business but then there are opportunities to rotate through any of the following:

  • Systems Support & Development
  • HR solutions
  • Quality & Process Improvement
  • Payroll
  • Accounts
  • Dealing

The idea is that, after the exposure you receive early on, you will be in an ideal position to fast-track your way into a people management or project management role.  This having been said, a key feature of the programme is its flexibility and your mentor will help ensure that you end up in the best possible role to suit your aspirations and skills.
