Entry Requirements

Different practices have different academic requirements so please check the entry requirement section under your chosen practice group in the 'About Us' section of the website before you apply.

We do apply our academic criteria rigorously but if you don't meet the criteria for your selected pracitce and do meet the criteria for a similar area, we will offer you the chance of swapping your focus rather than simply rejecting your application.  We will also take extenuating circumstances into consideration.

Ultimately all our practices are looking for highly talented individuals who have clear and considered reasons for applying to Watson Wyatt.  We are looking for future leaders - not just of people and teams, but thought leaders and people who will inspire a new generation of clients and fellow associates.

In terms of 'soft-skills,' all our roles require team working, communication, analysis and problem solving skills combined with attention to detail and the desire to exceed customer expectations.

N.B.  It is important to note that, if you have been through the current UK schooling system, only your top three A level grades will count towards our measurement of your achievement in terms of UCAS points.

* Watson Wyatt is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from people who have been through other schooling systems. Comparison databases will be used to assess whether achievements meet our benchmark.

Someone has eaten the cake you made for your Mum’s birthday next week. Out of your three flatmates – Tom, Ellie and Matt – one always tells the truth, and two always lie when food disappears. Tom says ‘I didn’t eat your cake’, Ellie says ‘Matt ate your cake’ and Matt says ‘I didn’t eat your cake.’ So who did eat it?

Tom ate the cake. One of Tom and Matt must be telling the truth (because only one person ate the cake), which means that Ellie is one of the liars and Matt didn't eat the cake. Therefore Matt was telling the truth and Tom must be lying.
