Graduates are our future

Consultancies trade on the abilities of their consultants.  Therefore we are only as good as the people we employ.

Graduates are the future of our business and, as such, we invest a great deal of time and energy in their development. You can find out more about the training available from the Learning and Development pages but here’s a little bit about where you’ll fit into the bigger picture and what you can expect should you join us.

What the future holds

Our culture

Our resources and culture have been carefully tailored to help you make your mark.

We firmly believe that all ideas are good ideas and, as you will see from the experiences of recent joiners on our profile page, our graduates are key team members whose inputs are valued from day one.

We have a very flat structure with open plan offices and a lack of hierarchy; The Head of the European firm greets secretaries, graduates and senior consultants with equal warmth as he passes them in the corridors and everyone is known by first name rather than title or level of seniority.

Another thing that is regularly commented upon by all who join us is the approachability of our associates and their willingness to share information.  Many are widely acknowledged thought leaders, and there is never a shortage of people to point you in the right direction.

You will also be assigned a mentor who will be there from day one to support you and to ensure that you benefit from early exposure to a wide array of client projects and gain experience in client-facing and technical roles.

Because our style of working transcends traditional geographical and business boundaries, not only will you have access to knowledge and experience from a wide range of cultural, academic and professional backgrounds, but you will also have all the opportunities that a global business of our nature can offer.

With offices across more than 30 different countries, you can choose whether you’d prefer to work on cross-border projects from the comfort of your own desk or travel for long or short periods of time.  Either way, you will find that a career with Watson Wyatt gives you access to a wide variety of worldwide projects.

Ultimately, our goal for graduates is simple: to create the thought-leaders of the future.  We want to develop people with the talent and potential to build enduring client relationships, provide perceptive business insights and, ultimately, take their place at the pinnacle of the firm.  Join us and you’ll play a central role in making Watson Wyatt the world’s most influential consulting firm.
